Lucky Mining (Hytale) — Review
Lucky Mining adds a simple but addictive twist to ore hunting: mine ores in a streak and you gain an increasing chance for the ore block to regenerate so you can mine it again.
How it works
- Mine a whitelisted ore to start a lucky streak.
- Each successful ore mined increases the re-mine chance until you hit a cap.
- If you stop mining ores for too long—or mine a non-whitelisted block—the streak can reset (depending on configuration).
Configuration notes
The mod is built around tuning:
- Which blocks count as “ore” (whitelist)
- Starting chance, growth per streak, and maximum chance
- How forgiving the streak timer is
Who should use it
- Survival worlds that want mining to feel more dynamic
- Servers that enjoy “risk/reward” grinding loops (with sensible settings)
Verdict
Lucky Mining is a great “small change, big feel” mod—just be sure to set the chances to match your server’s economy and progression.
